Getting started

Tap the + on the dashboard to create a baby profile with name, birth date and gestation. Everything else builds from there.

iCloud sync

Sync is automatic when iCloud is enabled in your device Settings. Your data moves only between your own devices — never to us.

Exporting your records

Settings → export produces a full PDF of growth, immunisations, screenings, reviews and milestones. CSV export is there too.

Premature babies

Enter your baby's gestation when you create the profile and corrected age is applied to every growth chart automatically.

Twins & siblings

Add as many profiles as you need and switch between them instantly. Every record stays scoped to the right child.

Deleting your data

You can wipe all data from within Settings at any time. Deleting the app also removes everything stored on the device.

Troubleshooting

Something not right?

My data isn't syncing between devices
Check that both devices are signed into the same iCloud account and that iCloud Drive is switched on in Settings. Sync runs in the background and can take a few minutes after a large change — make sure each device has a connection and is on a recent version of the app.
A growth point looks like it's on the wrong centile
For premature babies, the chart uses corrected age — so a point will sit differently than it would against uncorrected age. Double-check the gestation entered on the baby's profile. If something still looks off, email us with the date of birth, gestation and the measurement and we'll take a look.
I lost my data / changed phones
If iCloud sync was enabled, signing into the same iCloud account on the new device restores your data automatically. If iCloud was off, data lives only on the original device — which is why we recommend keeping iCloud on and exporting a PDF or CSV from time to time as a backup.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
Email customersupport@bloombook.co.uk. For bugs, it helps to include your device model, iOS version and a short description of what happened. Every message is read by a person.
Is BloomBook a substitute for medical advice?
No. BloomBook is a record-keeping tool and is not a medical device. It does not provide diagnosis or medical advice. For any concern about your child's health or development, contact your health visitor or GP, or call NHS 111. See the Terms of Use for the full detail.
